We have been produced by physical evolution driven by survival of the fittest but now we are intelligent enough to survive a decent amount of time and have no real predatory threats should we be governed now by the rule of maximising all human potential, after all it's our intelligence that has got us to where we are and it's true that our society is stratified by success in terms of money and influence but there is no reason why anyone should die because they aren't physically stronger. Physical evolution has given way to evolution of intelligence and imagination. As a side note, is the struggle of one methodology against the other the underlying struggle between left and right?
