Current AI will NOT create sentient beings

For a device/program to be sentient, it needs to understand most of what the physical things in the world are, in terms of their physical description/attributes AND the physical rules that govern thing with depending on their attributes AND the rules about how things affect each other's form and how they can interact according to their attributes. 

THEN it needs to understand itself in the same terms.

THEN it is self aware.

Current AI is pattern recognition,  which is a valuable skill in terms of the above steps but is only a small step along the way.

The other reason AI will never be self aware by design (it migut happen by accident though) is because having AI self aware is pointless, what use does it serve?  I can't think of any.  Currently AI doesn't understand how it is different from everything else, you ask it and it would give you an answer then completely ignore what it's just said.  It's here to solve OUR problems not understand itself.  Getting AI to contemplate itself is a dangerous waste of time (so that probably means 1000s of people are working on it lol knowing mankind's self destructive tendencies).  Unfortunately the start of that road is asking AI how it could improve itself (ie. Become even more useful (define useful here) to us.

Excel is the devil but it's OUR devil

If you want an indication of how structured and logical people are, you only need to look at the tool the vast majority use as their first choice fir organizing things ....  Excel.  A tool which is almost completely unstructured, where nothing is validated against the real world.  Any structure it has, is a direct reflection of how the person using it thinks, their personal style, assets and liabilities, and how they prioritize things.  It's great for that person, but in terms of data sharing and consistency,  a complete disaster for the company. It prioritizes the one over the needs of the many, which is how humanity works,  that's not a judgement, just s fact, and its why evolution works and communism doesn't. The question is, even though businesses compete.  Within a business they cooperate, get people to think cooperatively is a huge challenge and tools like Excel don't help.

The Sexual Revolution

The sexual revolution came about because of contraception.   Which allowed men to satisfy their carnal desires without the risk of a shotgun wedding or its modern equivalent, state enforced child support.  He is now free to create a long line of broken hearts.  She is also free of one of her primary roles as gatekeeper of the gene pool if she so wishes and is in fact encouraged to by society where sexual messaging some would say is now more dominated by what men want.

The sexual revolution freed noone.  It gave men the opportunity to become slaves to their desires and encouraged women to abandon meaning and purpose, essentially allowing them to behave like men sexually, putting them in direct conflict with billions of years of evolution.  No wonder women are miserable on an unprecedented scale and men hate themselves for not living up to what they know is right.  So many women have fallen for the illusion and given away their greatest powers, to decide the future of humanity and their ability to civilise men, and over time both sexes and the future of mankind has suffered because of it.
